Town Fan Sponsors Ladies Who Lunch

Huddersfield Town fan Louise Woollard LLP has today been confirmed as the sponsor at the annual ‘Ladies who Lunch’ event at the John Smith’s Stadium, which will this year raise money for the Town Foundation.

Over 200 ladies will attend the sell-out event on Friday 22 November from 11am to enjoy an afternoon of food and fashion, with proceeds going to the Club’s official charity.

The afternoon will begin with a luxury shopping experience in the ‘Pop up Shops’, which will be based in the stadium’s corporate boxes in the Direct Golf UK Stand. Many recognizable retailers will take part including Pandora, Deco Chocolates, Twisted Soap and the beauty houses from the House of Fraser.

The Town Foundation’s Corporate Fundraising Officer Mandy Taylor met Louise at the House of Fraser to thank her for her sponsorship of the event and commented:

“I would like to thank Louise Woollard for her kind and generous sponsorship of the event; her support will help the charity make a real difference for youngsters throughout the community. Our meeting was all thanks to the power of social media – one simple tweet explaining that anyone with both a passion for fashion and charity too was needed to help me ensure that this first event for the charity was a huge success. As the saying goes, the rest is history and I am absolutely delighted to have met her.

“Louise has also kindly provided a luxury gift for our free prize draw on the afternoon which will complement the charity raffle which will have a multitude of wonderful prizes on the day.”

“Not only does Louise run her own company, Louise Woollard LLP, which represents St. James’s Place Wealth Management and provides bespoke financial advice to individuals and business owners, but she is a lifelong Huddersfield Town fan and Season Card holder.”

“I am delighted to be sponsoring the Ladies Lunch and Fashion show,” Louise explained.

“I am very proud to be associated with the work that the Town Foundation undertakes in the local community, to improve the quality of life for young people in Huddersfield and West Yorkshire.”

“I have also organised successful events to raise thousands of pounds for charity and I therefore know the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. The Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show enables me to bring both practical and financial support to an event that will be hugely enjoyable and a fabulous opportunity to raise valuable funds for a great charity.”

Attendees on the afternoon will also enjoy a two course meal and complimentary coffee, along with the prize draw raffle, before the special fashion show at the stadium.

“Huddersfield’s fantastic array of fashions and tailoring will be on display, with a line-up of renowned businesses including Peters Fashions, House of Fraser, House of Elliot, Kitten Heels, Sitting Pretty, Owen Scott Bespoke Tailors, Lace and Beaux and Your Children’s Wardrobe to name but a few,” Mandy continued.

“I would also like to thank the volunteers that are giving their time to make this event possible, including staff from Barclays Bank and some familiar faces from the Club. We’re still on the lookout for more volunteers – please email me on mandy.taylor@htafc.com if you can help.”
