The Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Premier League Kicks programme launched in March 2018 and has made huge progress to date engaging over 500 young people. The programme provides free opportunities for young people aged between 8 – 19 years who live within Kirklees.
A youth work approach is taken to all Kicks sessions, where participants are encouraged to input into the design and development of these sessions. Our offer includes football; multi-skills; arts and crafts; boxercise; kwick cricket; american football; tig and much more. Youth voice sessions feature as part of the programme which are educational workshops to broaden young peoples’ awareness and knowledge on topics including aspirations, role models and self awareness.

Our Kicks into the community programme is a bespoke 24 week programme working in partnership with Kirklees Council aimed supporting young refugees and asylum seekers to transition into wider community provision. Our 24 week programme started in August 2018 and runs every Friday 16:15 – 17.15, with the usual meeting place being Central Youth Club, HD1 2NX. The programme frequently conduct trips and visits to other venues, so it is advised to check ahead of attending.
