Pair Donate To Foundation

Town fans Dan Page and Shelley Beevers of Sheldan Wood Ltd have kindly donated £1,000 to the Club’s Charity the Town Foundation. To acknowledge the donation, the Club invited Dan and Shelley onto the pitch during the half-time interval of the Ipswich game to perform a cheque presentation with Town’s Corporate Fundraising Officer Mandy Taylor – they were also accompanied by their children and parents (pictured). Dan and Shelley became aware of the Foundation’s work within the community after visiting the Club’s training ground Canalside Sports Complex and hearing Mandy speak ahead of the Question of Sport fundraising event. Shelley said: “Dan and I were both amazed by the wonderful work which the Town Foundation has carried out already and we are extremely keen to help out and ensure that this continues in the future. The Breakfast Club in particular pulled at our heart strings as we have two young girls at home and it’s frightful to think that there are young children out there attending school hungry” Town’s Mandy Taylor, said: “This donation is the latest example of the support that the Foundation is garnering from our local community; it’s great to see local people are embracing the vital work we undertake in such a fashion. “If anyone else wants to support a specific breakfast club that means something to them, or make a general donation to the Foundation, I’d urge them to get in touch.” News of the latest school – Spring Grove – to join the Charity’s Early Breakfast scheme will be on htafc.com on Wednesday. Spring Grove is the sixth school to join the scheme with 48 school children enjoyed healthy and nutritious this morning. If you want to make a donation to the Foundation please click HERE!
