Raising aspirations by engaging and inspiring individuals to achieve their full potential.

Primary Schools

The Foundation supports local Primary Schools via the Premier League Primary Stars programme utilising Literacy and Numeracy interventions, classroom support, reading interventions, PSHE lessons and assemblies, Physical Education, PPA cover and extra-curricular activities.

Secondary Schools

The Foundation supports local secondary schools via delivery of the Premier League Inspires programme. Elements include mentoring, assemblies, PSHE lessons, enterprise projects and careers advice, in addition to extra-curricular activities and support to access community programmes.

Women’s Football Academy

The Town Foundation works in partnership with Calderdale College and HTAFC Women to facilitate a Women’s Football Academy.

This dual education and sport programme affords students at the college the chance to train regularly with the Foundation’s FA/UEFA qualified coaches and play matches alongside their studies.

Initially introduced in September 2020, the first cohort have now completed their two years at the College and we continue to recruit new players.

Foundation Level Degree Pathways

We facilitate two foundation level degrees in partnership with the EFL Trust and University of South Wales, with teaching taking place at the Huddersfield Town Community Hub opposite the John Smith’s Stadium:

  • Community Football Coaching & Development
  • Community Sports Coaching & Development

Both offer the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience coaching on the Foundation’s community-facing sessions.

Students can undertake a third year of study to upgrade their qualification to a full BSc Honours degree.
