Early Kick-off For Novak

Striker visits Christ Church Academy

Lee Novak was making assists off the field on Thursday morning as he helped deliver tickets for Town’s Foundation match on Saturday!

The striker – accompanied by Club Ambassador Andy Booth – had an early kick-off on Thursday when he visited School Partner Christ Church Academy to deliver tickets for Town’s upcoming game against Charlton, which is being dedicated to the Club’s charity the Town Foundation.

Novak visited the school during National Schools Breakfast Week to see how the Charity’s Early Kick-Off Breakfast Club scheme was going since its introduction.

The school is one of seven in the local area who is reaping the rewards of being part of Town’s innovative Early Kick-Off Breakfast Club initiative – the latest school to launch was Ashbrow.

Also in attendance on Thursday morning was the Charity’s Trustee and Club’s Operations Director Ann Hough, the Charity’s Corporate Fundraising Officer Mandy Taylor and Charity Trustee Caroline Lee of Club Partner One17 Design.

Mandy told htafc.com:

“Thursday was an incredibly successful morning in which we helped deliver tickets for our upcoming match and also helped the school celebrate World Book Day. To see the children dressed up as their favourite book characters whilst they enjoyed a hot and healthy breakfast was a wonderful sight”

“Christ Church Academy was the first Early Kick-Off Breakfast Club that we launched and it has progressed very well – we are delighted with the impact that it has had on the children’s lives.

“Also, Lee Novak was a superb sport and you could see the surprise in the children’s faces upon his arrival in the morning.”

Lee’s visit was particular timely as it was World Book Day and to celebrate he helped the school open its brand new Library which was officially opened by Caroline Lee.

The Town Foundation has visited each one of its seven Early Kick-Off Breakfast Club’s over the past week to deliver tickets for Saturday’s match against Charlton, along with complimentary activity boxes and Early Kick-Off commemorative booklets, produced and designed by Charity supporters Kid Premiership.
