Money from Twenty20 charity cricket match presented to the Foundation

The Huddersfield Town Foundation received a donation of £1,424.73 following the recent Twenty20 charity cricket match at Armitage Bridge.

The donation was made in the form of a cheque presentation during the half-time interval of Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup tie.

The Twenty20 match featured a number of familiar faces with a guest XI captained by actor Chris Fountain up against a Huddersfield Town XI featuring Chairman Dean Hoyle, Ambassador Andy Booth and Academy Manager Mark Lillis.

The Foundation’s Corporate Fundraising Office Mandy Taylor commented: “It was a pleasure to meet up with father and son Robert and James Moorhouse on the pitch at half-time and receive the significant donation of £1,424.73 representing the proceeds from the T20 family fun day at Armitage Bridge last month.

“An immense amount of planning and hard work and time was put into this fantastic event and the crowds that attended on the day really did enjoy the occasion. Events held in the community are always appreciated and we would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone concerned.”
