Foundation Set To Take On Three Peaks

Chairman sets next corporate challenge for Charity

Fresh from winning the Examiner’s Achievement Award, Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle has announced that he will take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of the Town Foundation.

Corporate Fundraiser Mandy Taylor and Trustees Sean Jarvis and Ann Hough have also put their name forward, but the Foundation is looking for corporate supporters to take on the challenge and fundraise along the way too!

The walk will begin in the early hours of Friday 27 June and the goal is to achieve all three peaks (a distance of approximately 24.5 miles) within a maximum of 12 hours. The walkers will be accompanied by a team from Kuta Outdoors, who will provide expert guidance.

A minimum sponsorship per person would be required with the aim to raise funds for a special trip to the seaside, as Dean explained: “Many of the children that we serve have never seen the sea. We want to get them on coaches, let them play football and cricket on the sand and then enjoy a fish and chip lunch, alongside those who participated, should they wish to join us”

Mandy Taylor added: “This will be a first for the charity, and with this in mind, we are limiting the numbers who we will be able to walk with on the day. As a result I urge anyone who may be interested to contact me via email: mandy.taylor@htafc.com for further information.”
