Town Players Shake Up Their Wake Up!

Development Squad Captain William Boyle and teammate Jake Charles were the latest Town players to visit one of the Town Foundation’s ‘Early Kick-Off’ breakfast clubs during National Breakfast Week.

The Academy graduates visited Old Bank School in Mirfield to witness the excellent start to the day the breakfast club affords the pupils.

They were joined by Yorkshire County Cricket Captain Andrew Gale, who is a Patron of the Town Foundation and a supporter of the Club.

The three sportsmen, alongside Town Foundation Trustee Stuart Bragan and several other members of staff from the Club, talked to the kids in attendance and helped to serve the healthy food.

National Breakfast Week highlights the importance of a healthy and nutritious start to the day and the Town Foundation breakfast clubs, such as the one at Old Bank, now serves over 1,000 meals every morning across 16 schools.

Since the Town Foundation’s inception, over 215,000 breakfasts have now been served to local children.

Another three guests came from Ferno (UK) Ltd, a company that has been a big supporter of the Town Foundation’s work.

On Monday the company held its own ‘Big Breakfast’ club to recognise the work the Town Foundation puts in during National Breakfast Week, pictures of which are below.
