Abzorb Donates £6k To The Town Foundation

Huddersfield Town’s club partner Abzorb has donated a generous £6,000 to the Town Foundation; the Club’s official registered charity.

The Town Foundation will now use the money to improve the lives of young people and children in the local area through pioneering projects such as the ‘Early Kick-Off’ breakfast clubs, which serve a healthy and nutritious meal to pupils at 17 schools.

The 18th EKO breakfast club is expected to launch in November 2015!

As a result, Abzorb’s Steve Beeby, Faruk Amin and Andrew Turner visited the breakfast club at Dalton Junior, Infant and Nursery School to see the work first hand. They were joined by Town Foundation Trustee Sean Jarvis and Janet Hoyle.

Steve Beeby, Director of Abzorb, commenteda:

“Since we took the decision to support The Town Foundation in early 2014, we have seen first-hand the work that has been done have a massive impact in improving the lives of young children across Kirklees.

“We are passionate about supporting the local community and this is reflected by our continued commitment to support the Charity, both financially and with our time. This has been embraced by staff members by providing their time and serving food at one of the fantastic breakfast clubs provided at one of the local schools.

“It is humbling to be able to witness first-hand how the children benefit from the Charity’s efforts and that is why our decision to continue our relationship with The Town Foundation Charity was an easy one.

“The work that Dean, Sean, Mandy and the rest of the team do is fantastic and we look forward to working with the Town Foundation in the coming years.”

The Town Foundation’s Fundraising Manager Mandy Taylor added:

“Abzorb has been one of the biggest supporters of the Town Foundation since its inception and this generous donation is the latest donation in a line of superb initiatives.

“On behalf of the charity, I would like to thank Steve and the team at Abzorb for their continued support.”
