Foundation Holds Xmas Party At Kids Cafe

The Huddersfield Town Foundation recently held a Christmas Party for over 60 people at the Longley and Lowerhouses Community Church.

As a thank you to Wendy Marsden, who runs the Kids Café at the Community Church, the Town Foundation put on a Christmas Party for Wendy and her guests to thank her for all her hard work over the year.

A team from the Town Foundation and the football club, including Club Ambassador Andy Booth, went down to the café and decorated the hall to give it a festive feel, before First Team Chef Ray Sherlock cooked a two cook Christmas meal for those who attended.

After tucking in to a delicious roast turkey dinner and chocolate sponge and custard, the children were surprised by a visit from Santa Claus who brought the youngsters early Christmas presents to the party.

Vicky Fee provided the entertainment for the children and trustees of the Foundation Janet Hoyle and Caroline Lee made sure all the youngsters were having fun and were in the mood for Christmas!

Huddersfield Town Foundation Fundraising Manager, Julie Sheffield said:

“It was great to be able to show our support to Wendy Marsden and to thank her for all her hard work by putting on this Christmas Party.

“The whole Club supported the event and I am sure that everyone involved had a fantastic time!”
