The Huddersfield Town Foundation is delighted to announce details of its ‘Buy a Bauble’ initiative, aimed at businesses in the run up to Christmas!

This exciting scheme gives businesses the chance to nominate the Town Foundation as its chosen Christmas charity and receive a unique bauble to display on their home or office Christmas tree.

Running as part of our 2020 Christmas Appeal, this initiative is the perfect chance to pledge your support to our work across Kirklees and Calderdale, which continues to positively impact lives throughout the Winter months.

We ask for a minimum donation of £100, a figure that would allow us to fund a First Aid course for two young people on our Premier League Kicks programme.

Alternatively, that amount of money would fund four group activity sessions for older people at risk of isolation or provide 333 free breakfasts for local children at one of our 41 Breakfast Clubs.

Whilst we understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on a lot of businesses, we hope that in the spirit of Christmas and to support a local charity, the £100 minimum donation is a realistic figure.

On the initiative, Fundraising Executive Lisa Bottomley commented:

“Over the years we have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from local businesses, whether that be through donations or their willingness to spread awareness of our work.

“This particular initiative will allow them to continue supporting our work in an affordable manner, with the gift of a bauble being an added touch to show our appreciation.”

Should you wish to donate and receive a bauble, please contact Lisa Bottomley on or 07741 671 596 in the first instance.

Once you receive delivery of the bauble, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share a photo with us on Social Media using the hashtag #HTFChristmasAppeal.

You can find us on Twitter and Facebook on @htafcfoundation, Instagram via @htafc_foundation or search Huddersfield Town Foundation on LinkedIn.

At the end of the Christmas period we will then look to acknowledge everybody that has supported the campaign on our website,, and social media channels.
