MATCH WORN SHIRT AUCTION RAISES MORE THAN £3,000 FOR CHRISTMAS APPEAL

The Huddersfield Town Foundation is delighted to be receiving more than £3,000 from the sale of the club’s match worn shirts against Sheffield Wednesday!

Town were 2-0 victors in the Sky Bet Championship match earlier this month, with Josh Koroma and Isaac Mbenza both on target in the first half.

The Terriers’ Blue and White striped home shirts were accompanied by the logo of the Town Foundation, the club’s registered charity, for the match.

After going live at kick-off the auction concluded on Saturday 19 December 2020, with the shirts attracting bids from across the globe.

Each shirt will also be accompanied by a personalised video message from their respective player, giving the purchaser a unique gift.

On the success of the auction Siobhan Atkinson, Chief Executive of the Town Foundation, commented:

“We were really pleased to see such strong interest in the auction, and I would once again like to thank the club for offering us the chance to feature on the shirts for the fixture.

“The money raised has given our Christmas Appeal a major boost and will make a huge difference to our delivery in the coming months.

“I’d like to wish all Town supporters a happy Christmas and look forward to seeing your continued engagement with our projects in 2021!”
