03 Jun MAGIC ROCK SHIRT AUCTION RAISES VITAL FUNDS FOR TOWN FOUNDATION

Match-worn Huddersfield Town shirts kindly donated by local business Magic Rock Brewing have raised £1782 for the Town Foundation at auction!

The home shirts, which were worn in December’s Sky Bet Championship victory over Watford, bore the Magic Rock logo.

13 of them were auctioned online and snapped up by Town fans, with the proceeds coming to the club’s official registered charity.

The money will be used to support a range of the Foundation’s community programmes, including but not limited to the ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Club scheme – which has now served more than two million free meals.

Richard Burhouse, Founder and CEO of Magic Rock Brewing said:

“It was a pleasure to support such a fantastic local charity and I’m thrilled with the amount of money Town supporters have been able to raise.

“My thanks go to everybody that took part in the auction and I, like the majority of Town fans, look forward to getting back to the John Smith’s Stadium next season!”

Siobhan Atkinson, Chief Executive at the Town Foundation added:

“We’re really grateful to Richard and the team at Magic Rock for their support in facilitating this auction.

“It has been a really difficult period for fundraising through the pandemic but the support of a company like Magic Rock really goes to show that this community always rallies strong to help those less fortunate. The money raised will make a huge difference to our delivery and will be used to support vulnerable people right here in Kirklees.

Other match-worn Huddersfield Town shirts from the 2020/21 season continue to be auctioned off online, with proceeds split between the Town Foundation, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, The Kirkwood and Platform 1 Huddersfield.
