LEARN MORE ABOUT WOMEN’S FOOTBALL ACADEMY AT JOHN SMITH’S STADIUM OPEN EVENING!

Prospective students and their families are invited to learn more about the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Women’s Football Academy on Wednesday 14 July!

The programme, run in partnership with Calderdale College, sees 16-19 year olds to study any course at the college alongside regular training and matches against teams from other Club Community Organisations.

Come along to the open evening from 6pm – 7pm in the Fantastic Media Suite at the John Smith’s Stadium, HD1 6PG, to hear from course tutors, current students and meet potential new classmates! To register, please CLICK HERE.

The Women’s Football Academy launched in September 2020 and has enjoyed a strong first year despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The programme is a fantastic pathway through to the Huddersfield Town Women’s team, who play in the FA Women’s Premier League – North.

Another unique benefit to it is the ability to complete work experience on the Town Foundation’s community programmes.

Furthermore, students will be able to gain additional qualifications such as First Aid and FA Level 1 in coaching football, giving them a fantastic all-round education.

Students will do the majority of their learning, training and playing at Calderdale College’s state of the art facilities.

There will also be the opportunity to attend events at the John Smith’s Stadium throughout the year and travel will be required to compete in away fixtures.

Upon completion of their chosen course, students may then wish to study one of our two Foundation level degrees.
