LEARN MORE ABOUT THE FOUNDATION’S WOMEN’S FOOTBALL ACADEMY!

The Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Women’s Football Academy’s league season is well underway!

The group compete against teams representing the charity arm of other football clubs in the EFL’s Community and Education Football Alliance League.

Alongside training and representing Town the players can study any of the college’s courses, with many choosing to study sport.

Earlier this week the team played their latest fixture at the College’s Inspire Centre, with Bradford City the visitors.

Captain Tally Diamond scored either side of a City equaliser to put the girls 2-1 ahead but, unfortunately, the match finished in a 5-2 defeat.

Towards the end of October the group had the opportunity to play at Manchester City’s academy facilities – a fantastic experience that will live long in the memory.

Next up for the group is another home fixture on Wednesday 17 November, with Sheffield United Women’s ‘B’ the visitors.

If this dual education and sport pathway sounds like something you’d be interested in, Calderdale College is holding an open event between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 20 November 2021.

Potential students and their families can check out the facilities, meet tutors and more, with talks scheduled throughout the day. To book onto this event, please CLICK HERE.

Moreover, the Women’s Academy intends to hold an open training session on Thursday 25 November 2021, suitable for anybody that may be interested in joining the programme in September 2022.

If you would like to register your interest in this session or require further information please contact the Foundation’s Football Development Manager via email: Nathan.thorpe@htafcfoundation.com.
