Degree

NOT TOO LATE TO STUDY FOR A FOUNDATION DEGREE FROM SEPTEMBER 2022!

At the start of National University Week, there’s no better time to learn more about the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s two foundation level degrees!

Run in partnership with the EFL Trust and University of South Wales, students get the perfect blend of classroom-based learning and hands-on experience.

There are two pathways you can choose from: Community Football Coaching and Development or Community Sports Coaching and Development.

Both are taught in the Community Hub at the John Smith’s Stadium, with students accessing virtual lectures, seminars and workshops with the Foundation’s dedicated Education Mentor.

These courses particularly benefit students that live fairly locally and can commute daily, mitigating the need for the financial commitment of re-location and accommodation fees.

However, you are still eligible to apply for student finance loans and other grants may also be accessible, depending on your circumstances.

Furthermore, students make two residential trips to the University of South Wales’ outstanding sports facilities every year.

This provides a chance to network with learners and mentors affiliated to other professional clubs across the country.

Each student also receives a free Town Foundation and USW kit pack including tracksuit bottoms, a jersey and a jacket.

Volunteering opportunities at home HTAFC match days also present themselves, with access to a complimentary ticket for doing so.

Upon completion of the two-year course you can complete a further year of study to ‘top up’ your qualification to a full BSc (Hons) degree.

Students can go onto range of careers, including but not limited to coaching and teaching.
