FOUNDATION FINISHES RUNNERS-UP IN MID YORKSHIRE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUSINESS AWARDS 2023

Huddersfield Town Foundation came runners-up in two categories in the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards at the John Smith’s Stadium.

In its second year, the awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday 28 September, was held to celebrate innovation, resilience, and true Yorkshire grit across the region.

Judges of the ceremony chose the finalists based on nominations submitted outlining their incredible work over the last 12 months.

The Foundation acknowledges our nomination and is extremely grateful to have been elected amongst other fantastic organisations that do a lot of good work across Mid Yorkshire.

The Official Charity of Huddersfield Town was up for the Community Hero and Diversity & Inclusion awards, and we would like to issue congratulations to Huddersfield Giants Community Trust and HAD-Print for their win, respectively.

The Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Siobhan Atkinson, was proud to see the charity be recognised for its important community work.

“My sincere thanks to the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce for taking the opportunity to recognise the significant work that is carried out by all charities across the region,” she commented.

“I was delighted that Huddersfield Town Foundation were recognised for their efforts and named runner-up in two categories.

“We hope to continue our work and through the Chamber, we see the potential to work in partnership with local businesses for all of us to achieve and do more in our community.

“We don’t do our work for awards, but it was special for the Chamber to acknowledge our contribution to society. Congratulations to all the wonderful winners on the night – there is much to be proud of in Yorkshire.”

The Foundation places on record its thanks to the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce for putting on a brilliant evening.
