HARRY TOFFOLO NAMED TOWN’S PFA COMMUNITY CHAMPION FOR 2021!

The Huddersfield Town Foundation is delighted to announce Harry Toffolo as the Club’s PFA Community Champion for the 2020/21 season!

The award, which is supported by the Professional Footballers’ Association, recognises players who have made a significant impact within their community and away from the pitch.

The past year has of course been 12 months like no other, with the Huddersfield Town community rallying together to support those most in need.

Toffs was a real leader in this, regularly offering his support to the Club’s registered charity and taking part in other initiatives off his own back.

This includes calling elderly supporters at risk of isolation and taking part in virtual sessions with Town Foundation participants, such as the Premier League Primary Stars example below.

Harry has also offered his support in keeping supporters entertained, taking part in the 2.6 and toilet roll challenges on the Foundation’s social media accounts.

On the award and Harry’s contribution, Siobhan Atkinson, Chief Executive of the Town Foundation commented:

“It’s been a pleasure to see Harry engage with our projects and really connect with participants of differing ages and backgrounds.

Every time a Town player attends one of our sessions it gives those in attendance a real motivation boost and puts a smile on their face.

My thanks go to Harry and the rest of the squad for all of their support throughout the season and we look forward to seeing them again in 2021/22!”

The Town Foundation is the registered charity of the Football Club, working with stakeholders to use sport as vehicle to better the lives of local people.
