Parkinson's Walking Football

Our Parkinson's Walking Football Offer

Our Walking Football offer aims to create inclusive environments for adults who want to continue their football career, or to try something completely new. It’s a great way to stay physically fit and socially active.

As the name suggests, Walking Football is played at a slower pace on small-sided pitches. The risk of injury and accidents is reduced by not playing the ball above head height, playing no contact rules, and by reducing the impact by walking.

No. Our Parkinson's Walking Football sessions are free to attend.

Our sessions are for people diagnosed with Parkinson's and looking to keep active among others in the Parkinson's community. The sessions are mixed gender.

No prior football experience is necessary to take part, with sessions led by FA qualified HTF staff, who have also undertaken extra training in delivering football and physical activity sessions to those living with Parkinson’s.

    Our Parkinson's Walking Football session is on Monday's between 11:00am-12:00pm at Hat-Tricks, HD1 3DY.

You can either contact us on help@htafcfoundation.com prior to attending, or show up on the day and one of our members of staff will greet you, introduce you to the group and ask you to complete a participant registration form.

  • "The sessions are adapted to ensure everyone is kept interested and involved and personally, during the sessions, I forget I have Parkinson’s and feel as though I’m in a training session for a real team!"
