- Huddersfield Town vs Rotherham United
- Fixture dedicated to the Huddersfield Town Foundation
- Saturday 7 March 2026; 12:30pm kick-off
Kicking off at 12:30pm on Saturday 7 March 2026, our Sky Bet League One fixture against Rotherham United is dedicated to raising awareness of the work done by our official charity.
The Foundation Takeover fixture provides a unique platform to showcase this work, with activities, stories and volunteers visible throughout the matchday experience. Supporters will have the chance to learn more about the charity’s impact and meet the people whose lives have been transformed through its programmes.
The Foundation delivers a wide range of impactful initiatives across education, health, sport, and youth engagement. From breakfast clubs and mental wellbeing support to inclusive sports sessions and community outreach, the Foundation’s mission is to ensure people across the region can GROW through learning and opportunity, THRIVE through improved wellbeing and BELONG through connection and inclusion.
In the Fan Zone, outside the Community Hub, there will be another chance for you to have a ‘Healthy Heart Check’ at the Foundation gazebo.
As you make your way into the Accu Stadium, keep an eye out for our staff and volunteers with collection buckets. If you’re able to, please drop in any spare change and support our ‘Bring a Pound to the Ground’ fundraiser. Every penny raised goes directly back into the Foundation to help fund vital community projects.
At half-time, participants from three of the Foundation’s female‑focused programmes will be taking part in games‑based activities on the pitch. With this year’s Foundation Fixture coinciding with International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March, the activities will highlight and celebrate the fantastic work the Foundation delivers for women and girls across Kirklees.
Taking part this year will be representatives from our Girls Skill Centre, our U13s North Huddersfield Trust girls’ team and our Women’s Walking Football group, who will be playing a small competitive game. Together, they showcase the growing opportunities the Foundation provides to help women and girls stay active, build confidence and feel part of a supportive community.
Founded in 2012, Huddersfield Town Foundation uses the power of OUR club to create opportunities, reduce inequalities and inspire lasting change for OUR community through the delivery of projects across Kirklees and the surrounding area.
The Foundation offers opportunities across education, health and youth engagement to deliver impactful, inclusive programmes that empower OUR TOWN to thrive.
