Huddersfield Town Foundation is proud to introduce its new Veterans Darts and Pool Club, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for members of the armed forces community to come together and enjoy regular social activity.
Hosted at Rack Café & Paparazzi Pool Hall on Ramsden Street in Huddersfield, participants will have the opportunity to take part in free social darts, pool and snooker sessions. Starting on Monday 15 June, the club will run weekly on Mondays from 3:30pm to 5:00pm, offering a relaxed and supportive environment for individuals aged 18 and over.
For many, the sessions provide a valuable opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences. With free tea and coffee provided and all abilities welcome, the club has been designed to ensure that every participant feels comfortable and included.
Alongside this new provision, the Foundation also delivers a Veterans Lunch Club at Tommy’s Lounge, which takes place every Wednesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The session provides another welcoming space for veterans to come together, socialise and access support, further strengthening the Foundation’s offer to the armed forces community.
Across both programmes, the focus is on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can thrive, connect with others and enjoy being part of a community. The sessions offer valuable opportunities to build confidence, develop friendships and take part in meaningful social activity.
Matthew Crookes, Physical Health Manager at Huddersfield Town Foundation, said:
“We are delighted to launch our Veterans Darts and Pool Club and expand the support we offer to the armed forces community. Opportunities like this are so important for creating a sense of connection and helping individuals stay active and engaged.
“Alongside our Veterans Lunch Club, this programme gives even more chances for people to come together, build friendships and feel part of a supportive environment. We’re proud to continue developing opportunities that make a real difference.”
