Huddersfield Town Foundation is launching its new Heart of the Town initiative to help adult males within the Kirklees area improve their physical and mental health.
What is ‘Heart of the Town’?
Heart of the Town is a new 12-week programme from the Huddersfield Town Foundation designed to improve the physical and mental health men aged 18 and above in Kirklees. The programme combines physical exercise and classroom-based sessions to improve men’s wellbeing.
How much does it cost to join?
The sessions are completely free. The programme is funded by the Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Project Fund and delivered by Huddersfield Town Foundation’s health and wellbeing experts.
When do the sessions start?
Sessions start 6pm, Tuesday 23 September at the Accu Stadium Community Hub.
Why was the programme created?
Huddersfield Town Foundation is committed to helping people within the Kirklees community live longer and lead healthier lifestyles.
What will the classroom-based sessions focus on?
We have arranged a number of guest speakers to run expert workshops which will help improve your understanding of safe alcohol use; mental wellbeing; diet and nutrition; diabetes; cardiovascular health and weight management.
