In partnership with Huddersfield Town FC, we run the 'Fans for Foodbank' initiative.
The Foundation is as committed as ever to helping those facing destitution and this is just one of several ways that we can assist someone in need.
For every HTAFC home fixture throughout the season, there is a foodbank collection point located outside the Community Hub for fans to donate. It is also located here on non-matchdays as well to take donations.
Donations that foodbanks are open to receiving are tinned meat, fish, halal and meat-free alternatives; tinned potatoes and other vegetables, fruit, rice pudding, and custard; Breakfast cereals; UHT milk; jam; cooking sauces; microwaveable rice, noodles and pasta pots; drinks such as tea bags, instant coffee, fruit squashes, other soft drinks; biscuits and sweet treats for children of all ages; toiletries including toilet roll, soap/shower and bath, deodorants, razors and shave gel, sanitary towels and tampons.
We will be announcing targeted home fixtures throughout the season, where we will increase our 'Fans for Foodbank' collection points around the footprint of the John Smiths Stadium, encouraging fans to make a further conscious effort to donate and support those facing challenges around food poverty.
Town fans’ generosity will have a massive impact on someone’s life, and those who would like to contact the Foundation about ‘Fans For Foodbanks’ should do so by contacting with an enquiry.
